Cooperation

The election is over and our nation has turned a historic page. The scenes of joy and hope have been so moving, I don't remember ever being so emotionally affected by a presidential election. Hopefully we will see a new sense of cooperation and working together. Heaven knows we need it!

I took these photos of our cats the other day. Even they know the joys of working together...

I first noticed the old Momma kitty grooming her two year old son and I ran to grab the camera. Then it was his turn to return the favor.....It's too bad you can't hear the purring here...Oh that felt good! Maybe a just a little more...And finally two nicely groomed, contented kitties!

  1. I am so emotional about the election too, I can't explain it. I never have been before and didn't expect to be. I just can't help to feel that the feeling of hope and promise will be great for our nation. I feel so many of our economic problems are snowballed by the media. I keep thinking if people decide to be positive, only good things can out of it, or at least better. YES WE CAN!

  2. I know exactly what you mean, Becky. I've also never felt so excited about an election. There is something about President-elect Obama that gives me hope. I truly think he is the man meant to lead us into a new world order. My biggest fear is that the groundswell of hope and support will fade, now that the election is over. If he is left to stand alone, there is no way he can make real changes. It's going to "take a nation" to see any real changes made. We, the people, will have to stay involved ~ GET involved ~ or the Washington political machine will chew this wonderful man up and spit him out....

I, for one, am going to look into what I can do to be a more involved citizen. "Yes We Can" ~ but we have to do more than just chant slogans. We need to act. I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sure going to try...

Oh, MY! I had no idea I was going to write all that!

  3. Those kitty pictures are so beautiful. I love the one where Mama is looking right at you, with baby boy stretching his paw out.

I was also moved by this election. I hope very much that Americans can pull together to create a better country and a better world. We can change things, but you are right Becky. It will take cooperation.

    Thanks for the post.

  4. Nice post, Becky-I'd just like to say "ditto". And now to wait for the outcome of Minnesota's Senate race....Loved the cute kitty pictures.

  5. Oh Becky, those kitty pics were adorable!
I, too, was so moved and so proud of us all when the election results came in.
I only worry for Mr. Obama, because there are a few very bad apples out there.
Beyond that worry, I think he's a really, really bright guy who can lead us into better times.\
