Class project I completed during Corinna Ntischmann's Virtual Felting Camp in April. A big thanks to the instructor, Agi Palasti. Her work is amazing! |
Well, Easter is over, things are starting to green up around here.

Mille Lacs Lake has thawed, Sid and I were up there again the other
night. This is a month later than the photo in my last post. |

And we have hatched lots of English Orpington chicks! |
 |
The sheep were shorn about a month ago and they're all fat and sassy. |

I'm getting ready for my felted bag class in Sandstone, MN during Osprey
Wilds' Women's Wellness weekend on May 3rd. Today I'm going to make one
more sample with six layers of fiber. The pictured samples are four
layers. I need the project to be completed in just three hours, so we'll
see how it goes with two more layers. I love leather and felt, so we'll
be making braided straps rather than felted straps for these small
bags.

The following weekend I'm teaching two Skinnfell class at Shepherd's
Harvest Sheep and Wool Festival in Lake Elmo, MN. That's always a fun
time. I love shopping all the vendors and seeing old friends. I'm
revisiting the Intro to Skinnfell class on Saturday, May 10 and then
debuting a Skinnfell bag class this year on Sunday, May 11. |

And I need to work out the kinks for my Nunofelted Window hanging
class at North House Folk school in early June. It's a super fun
project, but I mentioned in the class description that people can make
their window hanging into a Roman Shade so I just need to make a sample
for them to see how easy it is. I need a Roman shade in my downstairs
bathroom, so it will be time well spent. |
After that I need to weave a coverlet to attach to a sheepskin during my trip to Norway in late June. I'm so excited to go and study Skinnfell at the Raulands Akademiet in Norway! In addition to covering a single skin with my weaving, I plan to make a large coverlet out of four Gotland sheepskins. I have made a two-skin coverlet which I love, but just think how cool a four-skin coverlet will be! I am anxious to gain more knowledge from the instructor, Stina Rogness Solheim.
